Biography

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Leonardo Franceschini (Bassano del Grappa, 1995) is a guitarist, composer, and arranger whose work stands out for its innovative fusion of contemporary jazz and classical music. After completing his Master’s degree in jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Vicenza with top honors, he continued his studies at CODARTS in Rotterdam, specializing in the interplay between jazz and classical languages. This research led him to develop a personal aesthetic he describes as "New Impressionist Jazz."

His artistic career has seen him perform in prestigious venues such as the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands and So What's Next in Eindhoven. Internationally, he has participated in festivals in France (Annecy), Tunisia (Tunis), and Belgium (Brussels), collaborating with prominent artists.

In 2024, he released the EP Music from the Past, a project that reimagines works by composers such as Giacomo Puccini, Federico Mompou, and Olivier Messiaen through a refined blend of European jazz and post-Romantic classical music. This work, widely praised for its ability to create evocative and introspective soundscapes, is the result of years of research and intense compositional activity.

Leonardo’s musical aesthetic is deeply rooted in the exploration of time and emotions, creating a bridge between tradition and modernity. His philosophy emphasizes music’s ability to tell timeless stories, combining the complexity of contemporary jazz with the emotional depth of classical music. Each composition is conceived as a dialogue between past and present, inviting listeners on a journey of introspection and discovery.
